a good purchase
this is a very useful product that not only provides fast connectivity, be it wired or wireless connection, it also has a host of useful functions that make it more than just a router. the ability to connect an external hard drive which can be accessed by any computer connected to the network makes it very useful in an environment where you want to share data between computers but don't necessarily want to leave your PC running 24/7 to make that data accessible.
the different features that can be accessed on the router also allow you to control who can access what when allowing increased privacy and security when sharing a network with your neighbours for example.
STRENGTHS:
lots of settings to tweak to make sure it does exactly what you want it to do, while at the same time still being easy enough to use without wasting time on complex setup procedures.
WEAKNESSES:
it would be nice if it could tell you which computers on the network used how much internet data each, and to limit each computer after the cap you set for them has been reached. but it only allow you to see internet usage of all the computers in total and to limit total usage
BEST USES:
this router is for you if you need to connect computers - wired and wireless - and share internet and files, where speed is important, and you need an always available storage area which can be accessed by all the connected computers.
