The MED500X2 is the very latest Multimedia Player developed by Mede8er for today’s demanding media enthusiast. The X2 has been designed for good solid media playback from a hard drive, USB device, SD Card, Internet or Local Network source. The X2 is equipped with advanced features like Fast Gigabit Port and Super Fast USB 3.0 Slave port and is upgrade ready for the fast PCIe WiFi kit that will be available as an optional aftermarket upgrade kit. The Mede8er fully supports the very latest video codec's such as MKV-H264, BDMV, BDISO, M2TS for seamless playback of all supported media files. You can now pass full HD Audio streams via HDMI to your amplifier for a full 7.1 surround sound experience.

The MED500X2 supports the very latest in Hard Drive Technology. The Built in Hard Drive Format utility will format the hard drive without the need for a PC. The X2 also gives basic support to Mac HFS + volume drives so now Mac users can also enjoy the Mede8er while retaining compatibility with existing equipment.

The X2 is one of the first Media Players on the market to support the very latest 3TB Sata Hard Drives. Soon via a firmware update you will be able to preserve the life of your Hard Drive with the new HDD Spin Down function.

The built in Hard Drive heat sink bracket assists in conducting heat from the Hard Drive in order to preserve a long and reliable lifespan of the Hard Drive.

Now you can make a Music Jukebox from any music folder on your Hard Drive, USB Drive or Network Share with Album Cover support. New Firmware V2.0.4 makes it so easy to search music Titles or to sort your music collection by Genre, Artist, Year, Latest and to make Quick Playlists from your favourite Albums.

The MED500X2 is fitted standard with the special custom manufactured Mede8er Monprene low Shaw hardness TPE fan mounts. The mounts absorb the bulk of the fan vibration - very much like a cars shock absorber system with a result of a very quiet running player. The special low rpm fan used in the MED500X2 minimizes the effects of fan wind noise.
